Lt Abdul Wasi Safi is an Afghan Commando who fought side by side with U.S. Special Forces but after fleeing from the Taliban and a long journey (spanning three continents and ending with a 1,750 mile walk from Brazil to the US Border) he was arrested at Texas Border in SEP 2022 while requesting asylum.
Lt Abdul Wasi Safi is an Afghan Commando who fought side by side with U.S. Special Forces but after fleeing from the Taliban and a long journey (spanning three continents and ending with a 1,750 mile walk from Brazil to the US Border) he was arrested at Texas Border in SEP 2022 while requesting asylum. Currently, he is being held at the U.S. Detention Center in Eden Texas awaiting a criminal trial that could cause him to be deported back to Afghanistan. We are asking everyone to contact their Representative to ask President Biden to Pardon Wasi and grant him Permanent Residence. We have bipartisan support on this effort but we need more people to join in to get the attention of President Biden.
