Shafi Modaserzada was arrested and put in a Kabul Jail because a Passport Office worker demanded more money after we paid him the agreed amount. After negotiating his release, Shafi was shot and killed by Taliban who followed him from the jail and executed him in front of his family.

God bless you, brother Shafi, for all your efforts, and may He comfort those you left behind.

Very sad situation. Instead of doing nothing and simply letting evil takeover Afghanistan, Gul (for security reasons we've changed his name) and his father and brother continued to resist and fight against the Taliban. Gul and his father and brother were captured by an overwhelmingly sized force of Taliban fighters in the Panjsher Valley. They were lined up on their knees and then shot by firing squad on the side of a rocky mountain.
