Finally after a year and a half this family received word that they have an Interview Date at the US Embassy in Islamabad.
Finally after a year and a half this family received word that they have an Interview Date at the US Embassy in Islamabad. We now have to work on getting them Pakistani Visas and make a plan to get them safely across the border.
Pakistani Visas will be a challenge but they are criticle because after a successful embassy interview, the family cannot fly out from the airport in Pakistan unless they have valid entry and exit stamps in their passports. One family we helped didnt have Pakistani visas for their young kids and we hade to pay a "fine"of $500 to airport officials to get the kids paperwork in order. Although they missed their flight they were able to fly out the next day. All that to say, it will cost this family of 10 approximatly $7,000 US Dollars to get all their PAK Visas before their interview date.
May the Lord continue to guide us in this endeavor and safeguard this family all the way to the US.
