EMERGENCY SURGERY
NARRATIVE: The GBNT Group was able to finally get one of our Abandoned Afghan Partners emergency surgical care. There was no other option, without the surgery, he would have died. We had been paying doctors at a Kabul public hospital to drain the excess fluid from his abdomen but this was only a stopgap measure until we could raise the necessary funds for the surgical procedure, in Afghanistan nothing is free. The required cost for the surgery was more pricier than emergency medical issues we've had to deal with previously. One of our faithful supporters stepped in to cover the cost of the procedure. This was an old gunshot wound sustained during a battle with the Taliban, years prior. The three major arteries in his liver were obstructed, causing his liver to fail and a buildup of toxic fluid in his abdomen.
Thank you to all who were praying for the success of this procedure which had only a 50% chance of success in the best of hospitals.
THANK THE LORD, WE ARE HAPPY TO REPORT THE SURGERY WAS A SUCCESS!
PRAYER REQUEST: Please pray for a speedy recovery.
