Very sad news today. I was informed by one of our At-Risk Afghan Partners that his son was captured by the Taliban. He was out trying to sell his cellphone so they could get some money for their mother's medical treatment.

I was informed by one of our At-Risk Afghan Partners that his son was captured by the Taliban.
He was out trying to sell his cellphone so they could get some money for their mother's medical treatment. A family friend located hiim in a Kabul jail and saw that he had been badly beaten and the Taliban didnt allow anyone to speak with him. They also said they would be transfering him to a prison soon. The family doesnt know where they have taken him and dont know if they will ever see him again. He will likely be taken to the US Built prison at Bahgram Airbase which is now home to al the Afghan Police and military, and government officials that the Taliban have captured since August of 2021. Everyday, about 10-15 inmates are taken to the old COVID graveyard near Bahgram and executed, EVERYDAY! Given that we do not know the location of their son we only list him as MSSIING and hope and pray he is released.
Lord in Heaven, please have mercy on this man and his family and allow him to be released by his captors so that he may be reunited with his family who have already lost their two eldest sons to the Taliban, please dont let them lose this third son.
